PKR’s much awaited reconciliation meeting tomorrow evening?

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 3 — PKR will hold a much awaited “reconciliation meeting” tomorrow.

A party insider told Sin Chew Daily two mediators from the camp of PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali had met party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim yesterday to ask for a meeting between him and pro-Azmin central committee members in hope of resolving their misunderstanding and differences.

The two mediators are vice president Tian Chua and supreme council member R. Sivarasa.

The source said they had asked for a meeting between the committee members and Anwar in the absence of other people.

Nevertheless, the source said Anwar agreed to meet these leaders but did not agree to their terms, proposing instead to have a special political bureau meeting. Anwar also wanted these leaders, including Azmin Ali and Zuraida Kamaruddin to attend the meeting.

Either the “reconciliation meeting” or special political bureau meeting will be held at 17:00 Wednesday evening at the deputy prime minister’s office at the Parliament.

From what we understand, as of 17:00 today Azmin’s camp had yet to decide whether to attend the meeting. – Sin Chew Daily
